       Helping the Lao people to think and solve their own problems for sustainable living.

      PADETC is a group of Lao who care about the future of the Lao people - working to improve the livelihood of communities in a just and sustainable way.  PADETC is designing and implementing alternative models of development.

 

        PADETC is a training center promoting participatory processes for sustainable development - development with a balance between economic development, social development, and environmental harmony.   

PADETC is working in the following areas:

1.   Youth Leadership Training and Practices: Through extra-curriculum activities, this program trains young people to become more responsible and more creative. The ultimate objective is to prepare them to become better crops of adults who are out of the negative traditional molds but preserve the good aspects of our culture. 

2.        Appropriate Technology :  This program involves identification, testing, adaptation of appropriate technologies and then promote them through training and setting up of small scale enterprises 

3.        Media for Development :   This program is designed to help make the existing Lao media more relevant and responsive to the needs of its audience. It is also designed promote public participation in its contents.    

4.        Social Marketing :   Its role is to promote and to strategize the replication and bringing-to-scale the impacts of PADETC's activities.  

5. International Accounting Service: 

  • Introduction to International Accounting.

  • Chart of Account.

  • General Journal, General Ledgers, Trial Balance, Income Statement and Balance Sheet.

        The activities involve advertising, training, advocacy, training materials, institutionalization, sharing of experiences, networking, fund raising, and commercialization.
